Shout-out to Yianni for lending us his Range Rover! 🤍Y14nny Here it is, our review of the all-new Range Rover! The Range Rover has always been seen as pretty much the pinnacle of British SUV craftsmanship (no offence, Bentley Bentayga…), but the question is, does the latest generation live up to the quality of the last iteration? Well, it’s time to find out! Mat’s joined forces with Yianni to put the new Range through its paces. In terms of cost, it starts from around £99,000, jumping all the way up to £180,000 - so what do you get for your money? Well starting with the design, it’s so much smoother and sleeker than before. From the front through to the back, this is one SUV that’s done away with the creases and curves, but one which thankfully remains unmistakably a Range Rover! Around the back, you’ll find hidden lights which are integrated into the car, along with flush door handles on either side and an all-new grille design up front. The quality continues on the inside, too. Sure, it’s maybe not as luxurious as a Bentayga, but it’s still built to a high quality! The chairs are super comfy, and there is a whole load of storage to be found throughout the cabin. You get a big infotainment screen up front coupled with some physical climate control buttons, and of course, it comes with a digital dial display. In terms of engines, there are a number of petrol and diesel options to choose from, with the range-topper being a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 530hp! So what do you think? It doesn’t come cheap, but has the new Range Rover reclaimed its SUV crown? You’ll have to stick with Mat and Yianni to see for yourself! 🤍 🤍 2023 Land Rover Range Rover MSRP $104,500 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Review: Running Out of Room for Improvement The latest generation of the ubiquitous luxury SUV is damn near perfect. There's no missing a Range Rover. Whether it's the prominent letters emblazoned fore and aft, or the unmistakable silhouette, this large luxury utility vehicle has capital-P presence everywhere it goes, and its latest generation is no different. The 2023 Range Rover holds true to the tenets that have kept this ute at the top of the luxo-barge pile, and its latest batch of changes will certainly keep it there for years to come. At first, I thought the 2023 Range Rover's aesthetic was a bit too close to that of its predecessor but getting up close and personal has changed my tune. The new model looks stunning in person. There isn't a single overwrought design element on the exterior; the body panels are as smooth as glass and devoid of shouty features. The way the Range's signature vertical taillights now integrate seamlessly into the tailgate's horizontal black elements makes the new rear end look like a freakin' spaceship. I'm especially a fan of my tester's $7,450 satin-finish gold paint, which plays well against the blacked-out trim ($1,000), black roof ($1,000) and 23-inch black alloy wheels ($900). The Range Rover's cabin prioritizes simplicity over the last generation, and it works well. The busiest parts of the interior have all been smoothed over, starting with the vents that now comprise a single unbroken element between the dark and light parts of the dashboard. The window switches have been moved down near the door handles. The center console offers way more accessible storage, no longer shoving the cup holders off to the side while also making room for a cubby and a wireless device charger under the climate controls. The 13.1-inch touchscreen and 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster don't look like tacked-on afterthoughts. The heated, cooled, massaging front seats are supremely comfortable on longer trips, keeping road fatigue at bay. 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Is All About Presence My tester is the short-wheelbase variant, so there are only two rows of seats, but those in the back may have it even better than the folks up front. The rear seats offer an impressive amount of recline, and the front passenger seat can be shoved forward so a chauffeured individual can make use of the foldable footrest. The middle seat is actually a mechanized center console, slowly descending and extending to reveal an additional control panel and, with a little extra motor motion, two cup holders. The short-wheelbase Range Rover still offers a meaty 43 cubic feet of cargo space, and the motorized tonneau cover means whatever is stashed back there will remain out of view. All that serenity stays at the forefront, even when the 2023 Range Rover is in motion. My tester packs a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, making 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It's enough to shove off from every stoplight with an alarming amount of authority, but the engine note never really rises to a clamor it stays off in the distance, offering just enough rumble to remind you it's there. The standard eight-speed automatic transmission does a good job on the upshifts, but it can feel a little janky on the way back down, mostly within the last few feet of stopping. It's not really a major source of annoyance; if anything, it has me excited for how smooth the upcoming electric variant will be. It's impressive how every driving input is tailored for outright smoothness. The Range Rover's gas pedal offers plenty of room for smooth, gradual starts, while the brake pedal's long, squishy throw makes head-bob-free limo stops easy to execute. The steering is overboosted to high heaven, with a lightweight feel that makes it easy to make small adjustments without jostling the occupants. The Range Rover's ride quality is palatial, right up there with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The standard air suspension soaks up nearly every road imperfection and returns nothing but softness. Save for a bit of wind noise around the mirror and A-pillar at Michigan's 80-mph average highway pace, the cabin is free of any clamor that isn't coming from the standard Meridian surround-sound system. In fact, the noisiest part of the whole Range Rover experience comes at the beginning and end, when the flush door handles retract or extend from the body, which is a surprisingly loud affair. I'm kind of surprised they aren't quieter. The motorized door handles are cool, and while they undoubtedly contribute to better fuel economy, the numbers still aren't great with a V8 under the hood. The EPA estimates this Range Rover is good for 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, numbers I had no problem matching over a few 🤍

Meet the new Range Rover Sport! It’s the sportier edition of the world-renowned Range Rover, and Mat’s about to find out if you SUV lovers should go for the sport edition over the standard model. On first impressions, it’s unmistakably a Range Rover, with a whole load of similarities to the standard edition. However, there are a couple of differences that show off that it’s the Sport edition. Around the back, there’s a big roof spoiler (the largest on any Range Rover, no less!), and both the front and rear are a bit more curvaceous than the standard Range Rover. On the inside, the similarities continue, with the same dashboard and infotainment screen design. The centre console is slightly different, but overall it’s unmistakably a Range Rover of some description. The infotainment system is good (if a bit laggy) and you’re treated to a large digital dial display. Some areas of the cabin feel a bit cheaper than the standard Range Rover, but you certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if you were driving this on a daily basis! There are a number of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines to choose from, but the range-topper is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 530hp! However, the plug-in hybrid isn’t a bad option, with a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six & electric motor delivering 510hp, along with the option to travel up to 70 miles on electric power alone! The Range Rover Sport starts from £80,000, but is it really worth choosing over competitors such as the Porsche Cayenne or BMW X5? Or more importantly, should you just pay a bit more and go for the standard Range Rover? You’ll have to join Mat and find out for yourself! Thanks: Global Motorsports 🤍 Website: 🤍 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Starting at $105.975 Highs Elegant exterior styling, sumptuously-outfitted cabin, range of powerful and polished powertrains. Lows Six-figure starting price, plug-in hybrid only offered on base trim, snug third-row headroom. Verdict Suave, sophisticated, and sybaritic, the 2023 Range Rover is everything a flagship luxury SUV should be. Overview What attracts global elites to the Range Rover isn't the SUV's legendary off-road capability, but rather its effortlessly elegant styling, its opulent cabin, and the A-list status that it’s developed over the years. The 2023 model represents the most luxurious Range Rover yet. A trio of powertrain options—including a hybrid—deliver ample power; the brand's largest SUV comports itself through traffic regally, with a smooth ride and a hushed interior. Venturing off-road is certainly an option for Range Rover owners; all-wheel drive is standard and the air suspension can be raised to provide extra ground clearance—although we know that few will actually dare to subject this rolling art piece to such indignity. The Range Rover starts at over $100,000, which means it's more expensive than rivals such as the Cadillac Escalade, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class. So be it. The Range’s reputation, presence, and royal endorsement all help justify its premium price tag. What's New for 2023? The revamped Range Rover technically debuted for the 2022 model year, but it was confusingly sold alongside the previous generation model, and not all of its variants were available. For 2023, the older model is no more. For 2023 the plug-in hybrid P440e powertrain joins the lineup, and Land Rover says this setup will provide up to 48 miles of electric-only driving range. It's available exclusively on the short-wheelbase SE trim. Pricing and Which One to Buy SE: $105,975 SE PHEV: $106,250 Autobiography: $159,075 First Edition: $165,475 SV: $194,575 We'd recommend opting for the mid-range Autobiography model, which adds several sought-after items that luxury buyers will appreciate. For example, the Autobiography comes standard with a 1600-watt Meridian stereo system featuring headrest-mounted speakers and active noise cancellation. The Range Rover will be offered in both a short- and long-wheelbase body styles; and we suggest going for the latter since it creates room for a third row of seats and provides a more generous cargo area. Engine, Transmission, and Performance The Range Rover is available with a trio of powertrains, starting with a turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system dubbed P400 that develops 395 horsepower. During our initial test drive it proved to be silky-smooth and provided adequate pep to tug the large Range Rover around. A 523-hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 engine—Land Rover calls it P530—is even perkier and cranks up the Range Rover's towing capacity to 8200 pounds. A 434-hp plug-in hybrid option—called P440e—is also available but only on the short wheelbase SE trim. The Range Rover's ride is suitably plush and, with its adjustable air suspension set to Comfort mode, it virtually floats down the road. Turning the dial to Dynamic mode firms things up some, but the big Rover still aims for a comfort-first mission. When we get a chance to take the Range Rover on our test track, we'll update this story with test results. Range, Charging, and Battery Life The EPA hasn't released official range estimates for the plug-in hybrid P440e, but Land Rover says the system's 31.8-kWh battery pack should provide around 48 miles of electric-only driving range. The P440e is capable of DC fast charging or can be charged at a home-based charger. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The most fuel-efficient Range Rover will likely be the plug-in hybrid P440e, but the EPA hasn't estimated fuel economy numbers for that model yet. The entry-level P360 and mid-range P400 are both rated for 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway while the V-8–powered P530 has earned 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway estimates. When we have a chance, we'll test the Range Rover on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route and update this story with details. For more information about the Range Rover's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Read More 🤍 📌 Instagram ▶ 🤍 📌 Tiktok ▶ 🤍

Thanks: Motto Automotive 🤍 🤍 2022 Range Rover First Drive Review: Champagne supernova in the drive Fifty-two years on, the Range Rover is as glittery as it is rugged, and that’s a compliment TROY, Mich. Like many off-roaders of a certain age, the Range Rover has matured and evolved. Conceived in the late 1960s as a rugged ute with British sensibility and taste, it’s grown into a design statement that showcases Land Rover’s latest technologies and most decadent luxury features. While Range Rover will always conjure the notion of tartan-clad hunters and loyal yellow dogs, it’s immediately clear the fifth-generation model advances Land Rover's quest for new customers. My jaw drops when I catch my first glimpse of the 2022 Range Rover First Edition in my driveway. Dressed in Sunset Gold Satin finish which rings up $7,450 of the vehicle’s $169,900 sticker it looks expensive yet more nouveau riche than anything I’ve seen Land Rover build. That’s a good thing. Land Rover's color and materials team knew what it was doing. a little bling is necessary for Land Rover to aggressively compete with the Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, to say nothing of electric performers like the Hummer SUV and Rivian R1S. Against this crowded field, Land Rover brings it. The Range Rover comes in long and short wheelbases and can seat as many as seven or as few as four. The basic Range Rover starts at $104,500 for the mild hybrid inline-six model, while the high-powered First Edition and SV variants approach the eye-watering $200,000 level with options. A plug-in hybrid joins the lineup later this year and an all-electric model follows next year. Based on Jaguar-Land Rover's new MLA-Flex platform, the Range Rover offers a bevy of useful features, including all-wheel steering, JLR's clever Pivi Pro Infotainment and power-assisted doors (coming on 2023 models). The new generation also offers noise canceling technology, a suspension that can self-adjust due to road conditions and six different driving modes that can be calibrated for on- or off-road conditions. The design changes continue Range Rover’s aesthetic journey from rugged to racy. The 2022 model is flashy note the door accents and cutting-edge taillights but everything is flush to the body and it’s a modern, minimalist approach. Every line has a purpose. It makes SUVs from Audi and Lexus look terribly busy, and even the fourth-gen Range Rover is fussy in comparison. The grille and front end should look familiar to loyalists, but the boat tail shape in back is less prominent than ever before and the taillights disappear into the piano black settings. It’s a deep contrast to the previous model and its traditional blocky lighting. Still, the Range Rover looks like a dressier version of the last generation and it is a measured evolution. The off-roader has undergone far greater change, most notably the BMW-lead 2001 redesign. Let’s pause for a moment to dwell on the paint. Various shades of gold and bronze are the Range Rover’s calling card, but the First Edition and SV offer this so-called Sunset Gold Satin finish. In pictures, you can’t tell the difference between this shade and the cheaper paint. In real life, when the sun hits the finish — with coarse aluminum baked in — the promise of a “bright golden sparkle with high reflectivity” is delivered. Range Rover is the latest company to employ color schemes to burnish its products, a trend recognized by everyone from Kia with its matte EV6 to Maserati and its iridescent Levante Trofeo. Wisely, Land Rover employs this champagne chaser to differentiate the Range Rover, but doesn’t go overboard. My tester had the optional gloss black 23-inch wheels and black roof, which set off the golden hue with tasteful contrast. The interior was bathed in a light-and-creamy leather dubbed Perlino. It's everywhere. Rest your elbow on top of the door leather. The center console leather. Even the headliner had stitched leather. It’s broken up with light wood on the door panels and bisecting the dash, with chrome flourishes on the controls. While the lofty price tag gave me pause, the interior’s sophisticated use of materials and clever layout won me over. The Range Rover’s airy setting is reminiscent of Lincoln and Volvo designs, which is a testament to all three brand’s focus on interiors. The First Edition also included rear-sear entertainment screens and massaging seats in front (which were just OK — better than Mercedes’ massages but not nearly as good as Jeep’s). I was surprised to find a cooler in the center console, which I used to chill my wallet and keys inadvertently. It’s far better at keeping your beverages cold. Range Rover Sport 2023 Off-Road EPIC Climb – Spillway Challenge in Iceland

The epic ascent saw New Range Rover Sport – luxury performance SUV –resist the surging torrent of water flowing down the ramp of the Karahnjukar Dam – the biggest of its kind in the world – at a rate of 750 tonnes per minute. A loss of traction risked plunging down the perilous 90m drop at the base of the spillway to the valley floor below. Official James Bond stunt driver Jessica Hawkins was behind the wheel as the New Range Rover Sport demonstrated its grip, traction, performance and composure, completing the latest in a series of challenges for Land Rover’s luxury performance SUV. The spillway climb was the final obstacle on the drive from the valley floor to the summit of the dam, taking in a flooded riverbed, long steep tunnels and the 40-degree rocky dam wall itself. The 294m stretch of spillway had water furiously cascading down its 90-metre drop, to provide the ultimate test of traction and driver confidence. New Range Rover Sport is based on Land Rover’s advanced, flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA-Flex), which provides the perfect foundations for its superior dynamics and peerless refinement. Its line-up of powerful and efficient powertrains includes two six-cylinder extended range Electric Hybrid plug-ins, which provide a pure-electric driving range of up to 113km (70 miles) and CO2 emissions as low as 18g/km. The new 530 Horsepower V8 Twin Turbo provides sports car performance, with 0-100km/h in as little as 4.5 seconds (0-60mph in 4.3 seconds) with Dynamic Launch engaged. Customers can also choose from powerful and efficient mild hybrid petrol and diesel Ingenium engines, while pure-electric propulsion will be available in 2024, as Land Rover continues its electrification journey. Thanks to 🤍 for lending us their Range Rover! When it comes to luxurious 7-seater SUVs, it doesn’t get much better than the BMW X7 and Range Rover LWB! The question is - If you’re looking to splash the cash on a high-quality SUV, which should you choose? Well, Mat is here to run you through these two contenders to see which is best! When it comes to the design, these two are pretty different to each other but still look good from the outside. Not only are they both imposing due to their size, but they both manage to stand out. The Range Rover looks sophisticated from the front to the back, while the BMW X7 looks pretty imposing with an aggressive front end. Both cars come with a high-quality interior, too. The X7’s cabin is covered in high-quality materials, and this face-lifted edition comes with BMW’s all-new infotainment screen and system - the same one as found in the new iX. It comes with a number of physical buttons, and almost most controls are managed within the screen. The Range Rover also has an all-new infotainment system, coupled with a large infotainment screen on the dash. It has more physical buttons than the BMW, but unfortunately, there are a couple of bits of plastic trim to be found. Both cars come with various engine options, and the range-topper in both is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. However, while the Range Rover can produce 523hp, BMW is slightly up on power, at 530hp. Finally, we have the price. Naturally, neither car is cheap, but while the BMW X7 range kicks off at £85,000, the Range Rover comes in a fair bit higher, at £107,000! If you want the two cars we have here, they will cost you £116,000 and £127,000 respectively. So which is best - the X7 M60i, or the Range Rover LWB? Let us know which you’d choose in the comments, then sit back and join Mat for this in-depth group test!
