It is a honest review and represents my personal opinion about this guitar. 🐯 The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy is a part of the Inspired by Gibson collection and based on the 1958 Flying V body shape. It has a modern twist to it as all of the guitars in the Prophecy series. The Flying V is a new shape for the series together with the Extura and in my opinion one of the obvious choices for a Prophecy guitar. It comes in two finishes - the Aged Black and the one that I got here - Yellow Tiger Aged Gloss which looks fantastic in person. The modern features include 24 Jumbo frets, ebony fingerboard, asymmetrical slim taper neck profile with a neck joint that is flush to the body, giving you the best possible access to those last frets. To top it off Epiphone has put a set of active Fishman Fluence pickups specially made for the Prophecy series. It all seems like a match made in heaven. I do however have a couple of small issues with it and i have expressed them in my video review. Richie Faulkner’s main axe is his signature Epiphone Flying V that has a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fretboard. This sig features EMG 57 and 66 pickups along with a licensed Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo. The V is strung with Ernie Ball Nickel Wound .011–.048 strings and tuned down a half step. This Gibson Custom Shop Flying V saw less action once Richie Faulkner got his hands on his signature model. However, it shares many of the same features including the mahogany body, EMG pickups, and Floyd Rose. Announced at NAMM 2020, the brand new Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Collection has landed at Peach Guitars: 🤍 This is part 2 to our 'An Introduction To The New Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Range' series. In the previous video Jack put each model from the original series models including the Les Paul Junior, Les Paul Special, SG Special, Les Paul Standard 50’s, Les Paul Standard 60’s and others through their paces. You've been asking for it, so... In part 2 we got Jack to pick up some of the more angular models from Epiphone's inspired by Gibson: Original Designer Series of guitars and show off the range of tone you can get from these fantastic and cost affective guitars! We've got the Flying V, Explorer and Firebird models for you to check out. As you can tell, 2020 is shaping up to be the year of Epiphone. The efforts that Gibson have been going to, to answer all the calls and really revamp the Epiphone line has been fantastic to see and hopefully you all agree they look and sound fantastic. Gibson initially did a limited edition run of 500 in 2013, but for 2016 + and Epiphone is also being made in China. What I like about this epiphone run is it still looks and feels very similar to the Gibson version and has the same Gibson USA pickups in it - Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2. Since the BB1 and BB2 are still there, these guitars have very similar tones - however, the Epiphone version gets extras! A master coil split (instead of dual coil split controls on the Gibson) for single coil tones AND a killswitch pot! The Snow Falcon was the 2nd Brendon Small Signature guitar. He is best known as the creator of Metalocalypse, the TV Show, and the fictitious band Dethklok that was born from it. This show was aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. The first signature guitar of Brendon's was the Thunderhorse Silverburst Explorer which also got a Gibson and Epiphone variant.
