In this HowTech written tutorial, we’re going to show you how to apply a page background in Word 2016. Don't forget to check out our main channel 🤍 for more free how-to videos! Join us on Facebook 🤍 Our App 🤍 We will first show you how to change the page background in the viewer (without applying it to the printed page). This method doesn’t allow for the background to be printed out. If you want to be able to print with the background, skip forward to look at our workaround using the Header. To change the color of the background, go under the Design tab on the ribbon and open the Page Color dropdown menu. If you want more options, click Fill Effects… to add a gradient, texture, or picture. To add a picture as the background, go under the Picture tab and hit Select Picture… Finally, hit OK. As you can see, even though the image was the proper aspect ratio and resolution for the background, Word tiles the image. Furthermore, this background will not print, as shown by the blank page in the Print Preview. To remove the page background, go back to the Page Color dropdown and click No Color. To actually print the background, we must use a workaround. First double-click on the Header area to edit it, or go to Insert - Header - Edit. Then hit Insert - Pictures. To make sure the image is the right size, right-click the image and select Size and Position… Type in the dimensions of your paper (default is 11”x8.5”) or set the Scale to 99% or 100%. Right-click the image again and mouse over Wrap Text and select Behind Text. Left-click and hold on the image, then move it until it is centered on the page as shown when the green guidelines show up. Under File - Print, or Ctrl+P, we can see a white border in the print preview. This is because printers simply cannot print that close to the edge of the page. Coloring page backgrounds can sometimes be the hardest part of a coloring page – so I’m testing out some different masking methods and mixed mediums to see if we can come up with some new background ideas that are easy and look good! For the masking methods, I’m trying out masking pens, masking tape and masking film. And for the coloring mediums, I’m trying out PanPastels, soft pastels, a watercolor “hack” with normal markers, and the Ranger Distress Oxides from 🤍timholtz These different mediums would all usually be too impractical or messy in a coloring book, so masking opens up a huge range of creative possibilities… IF it works! So basically, the page is grey/black as the background, and the text is white as if this is the default. It’s actually not a Word bug, but its just the dark mode being enabled. To fix this, basically go to File then Options and at the Office Theme section, If you want to keep the grey theme, then just disable the dark mode (Tick the checkbox). While using MS office 2010 one is likely to find it quite easy to apply various backgrounds to a page in their document. In this tutorial you will learn how different colors and background on Microsoft word can be used in order to make a document look more appealing to viewers. Step # 1 Applying a color to the background In order to apply a color to the background of your page in a document, all you need to do is go to 'Page Layout' tab in the top menu and click on the option titled 'Page Color'. As you move your cursor through the various colors given in the list under this drop down arrow, you will be able to see a preview of what the page will look like once you have applied the color to its background. In this case, we have chosen to apply a Tan background to our document. Step # 2 Standardizing and customizing colors In order to customize colors for your background you can click on the 'More colors' option in the page color drop down. Once this is done, a new window open will open on your screen titled 'Colors'. In the 'standard' option you can choose any color that matches your specifications. One can even choose colors from the grey scale option given at the lower end of this dialogue box. In the custom tab there are more colors to choose from and one can even go into specifying minute details such as RGB and HSL values. Step # 3 Using the 'Gradient' tab Different effects can be added to the background using the 'fill Effects' option in the page color dropdown menu. The first tab you will be able to see in the dialogue box that will appear on your screen will be the 'gradient' .Here you will be able to see a variety of option. In order to apply the gradient effect using two different colors in the background, you must select the 'two colors' option given here. There are also a variety of shading styles available; out of which, in this case we have chosen the 'Diagonal up' style. This will help create a beautiful gradient effect in the background. Step # 4 Using the 'Texture' Tab The second tab available is 'Texture' tab; in which you are allowed to choose any specific texture from the list given. This will allow you to apply a texture to the background in your document. In this case, we are applying the 'papyrus' texture. Step # 5 Using the 'Pattern' Tab The third tab available here it titled 'Pattern'. Using this option, you will be able to choose a specific pattern to apply to your documents' background. You can also select a different color for the foreground and background of a particular pattern. Step # 6 Using a picture as the background The last tab in the 'fill effect' option is titled 'Picture'. Here, you will be able to select a particular picture and it will appear in the whole background in the form of tiles i.e., the same picture will appear a number of times on the same page. In this case, you can see we have inserted a picture which is appearing in the background of our document in the form of tiles. Step # 7 Applying Page Borders In order to be able to apply border to pages in your document, all you need to do is go to the 'Page Borders' option given in the page background section and choose a particular style for the border you wish to apply. In this tutorial, we have selected the double wavy border to apply on this page.

In the world of junk journalling and ephemera making we tend to generate a lot of spare book pages, be it from gutting an old book to use its cover or using the pages to glue upon. the long standing problem is theres normally more pages than we can keep up with so this is the solution I use. By creating neutral background sheets I can cut them into any ephemera shape I need and then decorate them to suit the theme I'm working on at present. I normally create them onto cream or tan card stock but they can be created on any craft card or those 12"x12" card stock designs you're never going to use because the printed design doesn't inspire you. I've even been known to dry brush white gesso over the top of them to mute the text down even further. In today's video tutorial we'll learn how to change the entire page body background color using Elementor WordPress plugin in a simple, fast and easy method. Download WordPress Elementor Theme 🤍 Elementor WordPress Plugin Backgrounds Usage Guide 🤍 Add WooCommerce Products In Pages With Elementor WordPress Plugin 🤍 Open the Elementor page settings menu. To the bottom left of the screen, click on the Settings icon to open up the settings menu for the Elementor page. Firstly click on the Style tab of the Page Settings menu. Secondly, select “Classic” as the background type under the “Body Style” dropdown. Choose the background color. Finally, click on the color icon to open up the color selector and choose the color you want for the page background. The HEX code of your color can also be in the text box below the color palette. After choosing the desired color, it will automatically set to the background of the Elementor page.
